Green Forest
Campaign 2022

innisfree India held it’s 4th Edition of Green Forest Campaign in India in association with Sankalp Taru- India’s leading Plant- ation NGO. It was held at Berli Khud, Disctrict Rewari, Haryana, India where 1000 fruit saplings of Lemon, Mausambi, Mango, Sapota, Peach, Jackfruit were planted as a part of the plantation activity by AP employees.

The initiative is a part of innisfree’s Global CSR activity, and focu- ses on afforestation, community development and conservation of the ecosystem by increasing overall contribution to forests through sustainable development. The method of afforestation is to provide the community with lush greenery leading to fruit and oxygen for the decades to come.

innisfree has always worked towards creating a clean and he- althy environment that can be sustained for years to come for our future generations and has planted over 3600 trees till now.

Rewari was chosen as the forest plantation site since it’s adj- oining Rajasthan which is one of the hottest state in India and the influence of the dessert land can be felt when in Rewari as there are seasons of dry weather and dust flowing in the air, thus it makes the land semi-arid, completely dependent on ra- infall. It is reputed to be the place where it has high temperat- ure making it very dry and difficult for plantation, and aim is to

bring about a green revolution where in the communities would come together to nurture the environment for a sus- tainable and better living.

The activity also helped the farmers in the rural community by planting the fruit bearing trees which will help prevent soil erosion, mono-cropping and raising the water levels of the area.

Our sole aim is of creating green patches on the arid lands of the region and this program is striving towards rejuven- ating environment along with uplifting progressive farmer community through the means of integrating enhanced horticultural practices. This initiative envisions to transform the barren patches to lush green orchards, while reinforc- ing water-table levels and creating a healthy eco-system.
