With 20 years experience in hospitality, Sandra Fontenot joined Innisfree in 2006 as the general manager of the Hampton Inn on Pensacola Beach. Under Ms. Fontenot’s management, the hotel was honored with the Hampton Wall of Fame in the 4th Quarter of 2008 and again in the 1st Quarter of 2009.
Ms. Fontenot began her career in hospitality in 1986 when she worked at the Mark 2 Beach Resort in Panama City, Fla. while attending Gulf Coast Community College.
From there Ms. Fontenot moved on to the Hampton Inn in Dalton, Ga. where she served as front desk supervisor and was promoted to general manager, a position she held until January 2006. During her 17 year tenure at the Hampton Inn in Dalton, Ms. Fontenot was instrumental in opening the Country Inn and Suites, which received the Property of the Year award in 1999.
While in Dalton, Ms. Fontenot served on the Dalton Hospitality Association Board as vice president and president during 2004 and 2005 and on the Authority Board of the Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center.
