Michael Nixon joined Innisfree Hotels in 1994 as  general manager of the Beachside Resort and Conference Center on Pensacola Beach, Fla. He was promoted in 1998 to regional director of operations, overseeing all of Innisfree Hotels’ gulf-front hotels in Florida and Alabama.

Mr. Nixon’s expertise includes budget preparation, renovations, capital improvements, sales and marketing. As general manager of the Beachside Resort and Conference Center, he increased gross revenues by 61 percent in the resort’s first year of operation. With his yield management experience, Mr. Nixon has maximized revenues for special event markets such as the Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

Mr. Nixon has worked in the hospitality industry since 1984. His previous experience includes serving as general manager of Bennet’s Reef, Inc. He is a graduate of Florida State University.
