Jeff Townsend joined Innisfree Hotels in 1999, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the construction field. He successfully renovated all of the hotels owned by Innisfree during his first three years with the company. Up until the past two years, he and his staff were involved in directing the continued maintenance and capital improvements of all Innisfree properties. Since then, Mr. Townsend’s focus has changed. He has created a development arm that concentrates on the land use, permitting, financing, and the execution of high rise condo and condo hotel projects.

Mr. Townsend’s professional role in the development aspect of a project involves preparing budgets and negotiating contracts with engineers, architects and general contractors. He is also involved in the process of acquiring proper zoning, building permits and other approval requirements from local and state authorities.

Prior to joining the staff at Innisfree, Mr. Townsend owned his own construction company. His past experience also includes serving as Project Manager with Sea Wind Developments for five years where he was responsible for the development of multimillion dollar projects. Mr. Townsend holds a degree in Building Technology, specializing in building economics, from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
